Lunch on the Patio!

We stayed out here all day it seemed. We enjoyed lunch outside. Emery loves being out here because normally when she is outside, she is carried or in the stroller or her little coupe car. She loved having a change of scenery...and she loves sitting with her brother! Isn't she so cute when she scrunches her nose??

Craft time on the patio!

Since the weather has been beautiful, we have been spending A LOT of time outside. Today it was threatening rain and so we stayed on the patio. We had craft time out there. Greyson made a bead necklace for our neighbor (who put it on right away and was still wearing it when we saw her later! She is awesome!) and Emery played with her blocks, practicing putting them "in" her bowl. She is so smart and was so proud of herself when she listened and put them in! Enjoy the pics!

Our striped babes!

Mommy found the CUTEST jams at Children's Place for $2.99!!! (Did we mention that our mommy is a frugalista??!?!) Here we are sporting our new duds! Aren't we cute?

Me-Me loves me!

Me-Me was planning a trip down to visit B and she decided to come for my birthday party! Here we are in our pink and brown....two pretty ladies!

YUM! What's this?

Tonight we went to get the boys' haircuts and then went by the pharmacy and the kids got suckers in the drive-thru. It is the highlight of pharmacy trips for Grey and Em's 1st sucker ever!!! She loved it! She watched brother eat his and right away got going on hers. Good thing she loves having her teeth brushed!!!

Brother!!!

Greyson is 3 1/2 and keeps me busy everyday! He is so full of personality and is so smart! (this is not good when he tries to reason with me!) He will be going to a "Kindergarten Readiness" pre-school in the fall, half-days Monday thru Friday. We are so excited for him to have this opportunity and get to do something new! And he will be reunited with some of his old friends from daycare and have a great chance to make new friends! He is really in to firetrucks, the Tarheels and JOHN DEERE!!!!

really?....REALLY????

I took Emery to her 1-year appointment this morning and I am IN SHOCK of how tall she is! She measured 32 1/4" long!!!! She was also 24 lbs. 1 oz. She is a "tall drink of water"!!!! (And a super cute one at that!)

Party Time!!!!

On Sunday, we had our families over to eat and celebrate Miss Em's birthday. She knew she was the center of attention the entire time!!!! She was such a ham and has the cutest smile! Here are some pics from our celebration.

What a year!!!

Our sweet girl Emery turned 1 TODAY! What a year it has been!!! Emery ended up having her reflux surgery in October and that was the BEST decision we have ever made! She is a completely different girl and has made great strides since. She was said to be gross motor delayed at her follow-up appt with her neurologist in November but the MD thinks that she was just so puny with infections that she wanted to just sit still. Well....she has more than caught up. With the exception of walking, she is moving everywhere! Sitting up, crawling, pulling up...moving everywhere! She smiles everyday and scrunches her nose when she does...it is so cute! She loves her brother and wants to be wherever he is and doing whatever he is doing all day. They play with blocks in his room and have tea in hers. When daddy gets home from work, she squeals with delight! Honestly though, she is a mama's girl...almost to a fault. Is there such thing?? We are so blessed that Em has been in our lives for the past year. It has been a hard, amazing and rewarding year! With Emery in our family, we feel complete. We are so blessed to have her and Greyson. We love you Miss Em...our doodle-girl!
